The Washington State Patrol

The Criminal Records Division of the Washington State Patrol (WSP) provides access to Criminal History Records Information (CHRI) through background checks.

In Skagit County, individuals may request a Conviction CHRI based on name and birthdate or by submitting a full set of fingerprints in person. To do so, they must complete and submit a Conviction Criminal History Form to 106 11th Ave, SW Suite 1300, Olympia, WA 98501. A name and birthdate Conviction CHRI costs $32, while a fingerprint-based request costs $58.

A Non-Conviction CHRI is available only for personal use. To obtain this record, applicants must submit a fingerprint card and a $12 fee to the Washington State Patrol, Identification and Background Check Section, PO Box 42633, Olympia, WA 98504-2633.

Additionally, Skagit County residents may conduct online background checks through the Washington Access to Criminal History (WATCH) system. This service provides immediate results and costs $11, payable by American Express, debit, or credit card (VISA/MasterCard).

Skagit County Criminal Court Records
