Washington State Patrol

You can view arrest information on the criminal history records maintained by the Washington State Patrol (WSP). To conduct a name-based background check online, open the Washington Access to Criminal History (WATCH) system to create a new account. Note that each online search costs $11, payable with a credit card. Log in with your registered username and the portal using the individual's name and date of birth. Mail or in-person requests cost $32, payable by money orders or checks. You can also pay the required fee by including the Bankcard Authorization form in the submission. Detailed criminal records are available only to employers, authorized agencies, and record owners. To get full criminal records, eligible applicants must contact the nearest WSP-approved fingerprinting locations to book an appointment for fingerprinting. Afterwards, visit the vendor with valid IDs, and a $16 fingerprinting fee. The WSP charges an additional $58 for fingerprint-based background checks.
