Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS)

You may address a mail requesting an arrest record to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Office of General Counsel - Public Information, Box 4087, Austin, Texas 78773-0140. Electronically, you can access the TxDPS website and navigate to the "crime record" tab. Click on "criminal history conviction name search." You will have to create a "criminal record search account and purchase credits for each search you will perform. Each credit costs $3 per search and you will be required to input the name and date of birth of the arrestee.
