You may obtain arrest records via the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). Anyone searching for an arrest record will pay a $25 non-refundable fee, including an additional $1 convenience fee for online searches using their debit or credit cards. However, charitable organizations are eligible for a reduced fee. For an online search, you may log in to the SLED (Citizen Access to Criminal History) portal and submit your request.

You are required to visit a law enforcement agency or detention facility for fingerprint submission if you prefer a fingerprint search, which provides more accurate information compared with a name-based search. You may provide an exact match on a subject's last name, date of birth, and Social Security number (if available) to retrieve a record. For a mail-in request, you may fill out the Criminal Records Check Form and attach the required fee by money order or cashier's check. Finally, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

To obtain a copy of an arrest report from the police, you may submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Some PDs have a public records division center where you can mail in requests or visit in person. The following are some of the police departments in Greenville County:

The General Sessions Court is a court of law that presides over serious criminal cases. It convicts criminals of crimes when they are charged in court and follows through with the disposition of such cases. The Clerk of Court is constitutionally responsible for adhering to the laws of indexing and disseminating records to the public promptly. The office of the Clerk makes criminal court records available online via public computer terminals. Remember to bring along an arrest warrant and/or an indictment number for the case you are interested in to obtain copies. The cost for copies is 25 cents per page and $10.00 for certified copies.
