Police Arrest Records

The public's request for arrest records may be directed to the custodian of records within the arresting agency. Requesters will be notified of the estimated cost and will be required to pay the associated fees before processing the record request. The record custodian will prepare the records and contact you to schedule an inspection or records pick-up. Oregon State Police

The Oregon State Bureau of Criminal Investigation handles record requests for criminal records. This search is done via the Oregon Computerized Criminal History Repository. To obtain arrest records, interested parties may download the Record Request Form on the OSP website. To obtain your personal criminal history record in person, you may visit their Salem Headquarters Office to complete a request form. In addition, you will be required to provide your fingerprints and pay a $33.00 fee. The Oregon State Police (OSP) also offers public fingerprinting services exclusively at the Salem headquarters. The Oregon State Police provides access to individual criminal history records in a limited way; however, interested parties may obtain an individual's criminal record report as permitted by Oregon Statutes. For access to another person's criminal history record, the requester will be required to provide the individual's​ Social Security number, birth date, full name, and more. It's also necessary to give both the full mailing address and the complete name of the person who is requesting the information. A $33.00 fee must also be provided for the request. Criminal Court Records

The Circuit Court is the primary court where judicial criminal cases are heard in Columbia County. Court filings, orders, and transcripts are indexed by the Circuit Court Clerk following state statutes. Interested persons who wish to inspect case information may do so at no cost at the Circuit Court's public access terminal or visit the Circuit Clerk's Office at 230 Strand Street, Saint Helens, OR 97051.
