To obtain an arrest record from local police departments, you may make your request in person at the police department in the municipality where the arrest occurred during normal business hours. You may obtain a person's criminal history record information (CHRI) from the NJSP. First, you may fill out the SBI 212B form, create an account, and click "continue" to process your request. It costs $20 to conduct a name-based check payable by credit card, and you will be required to provide details such as the subject's name, date of birth, and social security number (optional).
Be aware that applications require approval from the subject of the record before they are processed by the State Bureau of Identification (SBI). You will be sent an email notification at the email address you provided when your application is processed by the SBI. When a case is presented in court due to charging a person, it may result in conviction. The Atlantic County Superior Court handles all criminal offenses that occur within the borders of Atlantic County in New Jersey.
