An arrest may lead to a conviction in court, therefore leading to a court case. The Circuit Court is in charge of handling cases of criminal nature as well as civil and family cases. The Clerk of the Circuit Court files and maintains records pertaining to criminal proceedings. The records maintained by the Office of the Clerk of Court are available to the public for review.

The public may view court records on the Maryland Judiciary Case Search portal or book an appointment at the office of the Circuit Court Clerk to see criminal court records. You may call the Clerk in advance, especially for older records, to confirm if the records are available.
